Roasted Broccoli with Ginger

This roasted broccoli recipes works well for a side dish or with your favorite lean protein. 


2 bunches broccoli (about 2 pounds), cut into florets, (cut up stems but remove leaves)
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons of fresh ginger grated
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 garlic clove, minced
1 lime grated and juiced


1Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2In a large bowl, toss together the broccoli with the sesame oil, and a pinch of salt. Arrange the broccoli in a single layer on a baking sheet.
3Roast the tray of broccoli for 40 minutes, or until tender and toasty, tossing the broccoli and turning the baking sheet halfway through the cooking time. The broccoli will have dark brown-carmelized crispy edges but still retain it's green color every where else.
4Cook olive oil in a small saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in garlic and ginger and the rest of seasonings.
5When the broccoli's done roasting, transfer it to a large bowl, and mix it with the garlic/ginger sauce,lime zest, and lime juice.
