Easy Peesy Non-dairy Chocolate Pots de Créme
Non-dairy, fun and so decadent without the dairy. Treat yourself and your young ones with this sweet dish.
Ingredients:
1 can of light coconut milk (keep can in refrigerator in advance)
|
1/4 cup of cocoa (dutch processed preferred)
|
1 tsp. of vanilla
|
1-2 tbsp. of raw sugar (or sugar substitute)
|
1 tsp. of cayenne pepper
(optional for kids, but if you want to make this more of an adult treat add to taste) |
Instructions:
1 | Mix in a bowl all of the ingredients using a whisk. Pour into dessert dishes or small cups. Place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or longer. Voile! |
Cook's Tips:
Using more of the thicker top section of coconut milk cream will help keep the custard from being too full of liquid. If possible use more than one can thick top coat of full coconut milk to thicken the creme.
