Chocolate Tea
As the weather becomes cooler, try this fun-warm-chocolatey drink for all ages.
Ingredients:
1 tbsp. of cacao nibs |
1/2 tsp. of ground ginger |
1/2 tsp. of cinnamon |
2 cup of boiling water |
1-2 tbsp. of sugar or substitute such as Stevia. Make the drink as sweet or non-sweet as you desire. |
Instructions:
1 | In a small pot heat water to a boil. |
2 | Add sugar and spices. Whisk until spices and sugar dissolve. Add cacao nibs. Let boil for one minute, stir. Turn water down low and simmer for 5 mins more. |
3 | Strain with a screen or small colander and pour hot into 1-2 medium size mugs. Let cool slightly before serving children. |
Cook's Tips:
Mix up the spices to anything you want, such as instead of ginger try cloves or mexican pepper spices, or anise. Tastes great with vanilla extract too!
