Black Bean Brownies
Black beans and cocoa create a deep rich flavor that will satisfy your sweet toothe as well as cut back on calories.
Ingredients:
1 can of cooked black beans rinsed/drained (you can prepare dried black beans in advance cooked with only water) |
4 large eggs |
1 tsp. of cinnamon |
3 tbsp. of coconut oil or vegetable oil
|
1/2 cup cocoa or cacao powder
|
Pinch of sea salt
|
1/2 tsp. baking powder
|
1 tsp. vanilla extract
|
2/3 cup of sweetener or agave syrup |
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Instructions:
1 | Add all ingredients into the blender or food processor and crush/blend well until a batter is formed. |
2 | Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 inch cake pan. |
3 | Pour batter in to the pan. Place pan into the oven to bake for 30-35 mins (look for the brownies to appear solid and dry on top. |
4 | Remove from oven and let cool for 40 mins. Before serving lightly sprinkle with cacao powder. |
