Jack Kashou

VP, Ochsner Cancer Center

Jack has operating responsibility for medical and radiation oncology services for the metropolitan New Orleans market. This includes seven (7) clinics, three (3) infusion suites and three (3) radiation treatment sites as well as the bone marrow transplant program. The flagship of the service line, The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center, is home to basic science labs and research, chemotherapy infusion, hematology and oncology clinic, bone marrow transplant clinic and several multi-disciplinary surgical oncology clinics, including gynecology, head and neck, urology and gastroenterology. Additionally, Jack is responsible for the tumor registry, social workers, marketing/business development, clinical trials and philanthropy.  He also acts as the business representative for Ochsner Medical Center on the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium (LCRC), a partnership between Ochsner, Tulane, Louisiana State University and Xavier University dedicated to establishing an NCI designated cancer center on the Gulf Coast. Currently he is the executive director at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

 

Prior Experience

Jack had been apart of the Ochsner Health System from October 2006 until January 2014. During this time, he held the roles of VP of Operations at Ochsner Medical Center – Kenner, Assistant Vice President of Business Development – Ochsner Health System and Assistant Vice President of Cancer Services – Ochsner Medical Center. Previous to his time with Ochsner Health System, he spent 13 years as part of Tenet Health System. Most notably, he held the roles of Director of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer at the former Kenner Regional Medical Center.
